LipSense Experience
My first LipSense purchase included Purple Reign, Violette LipSense, Moisturizing Lip Gloss and Ooops! Remover. When I first sampled Purple Reign LipSense, I tried removing the color with soap and water. That did not work, so I subsequently attempted removing the color with Clinique’s “take the day off” make-up remover. I was not successful removing LipSense with the make-up remover. The liquid lip color proved to last.
One coat of Mauve Ice, two coats of Purple Reign and one coat of Moisturizing Glossy Gloss.
The second time I wore LipSense, I sampled Violette and it lasted close to ten hours. During these ten hours, I had six glasses of water, two cups of dandelion tea, one cup of coffee, lunch and dinner. I did not reapply the lip color, however, I did reapply the Moisturizing Gloss a couple of times throughout the day. The purpose of the moisturizing gloss is to improve the longevity of the LipSense liquid lip color. Without the use of the gloss, the liquid lip color’s staying power is not guaranteed. Women that prefer a matte look as opposed to a glossy look, can use a LipSense Matte Gloss.

Applying LipSense
LipSense is not applied like regular lipstick or gloss. Each liquid lip color’s label lists precise instructions on how to apply the gloss. The color should be applied in one direction beginning on the outside corner of the mouth. To ensure the lip color’s staying power, apply three layers of the liquid lip color, letting each application dry for 5-10 seconds. After the third application has dried, finish with a LipSense Gloss. Although, there are more than ten variations of glosses available, beginners should start off with LipSense Moisturizing Gloss. LipSense users that have snafu when applying the long-lasting lip color can correct minor imperfections with Ooops! Remover.
